The 23rd Running of the First (and Maybe the Only) Dalton St. Patrick's Day Road Race
It’s not exactly on St. Patrick’s Day and it’s not exactly a full fledged, well
organized road race, but it is fun and has been happening since 1988. This race began 21
years ago on a last minute decision (one week really) to have a race in Dalton to celebrate
St. Patrick’s Day and to replace a similar event that had been discontinued in
Chattanooga. The Chattanooga race was an event that the CCRC members enjoyed
attending as a group. The original intent of the Dalton race was to have a low key club
event that did not take much to put together, that was a relatively short distance, but
something that would bring the club members together to have fun. We plan to keep it
that way!
Race Day this year will be Thursday March 18th, 2010
It’s that time of the year for the 23rd “and maybe only” running of the St. Patrick’s Day Road Race.
