Rick and Sally Little were honored as recipients of the first Woody and Elaine Cornwell Volunteers of the Year. The Cornwells now live in Newberry, SC but attended the banquet. They served the club several times as president and set the standard for volunteer work.

The Daily Citizen's All-Area Cross Country members who were selected last fall include:
Carina Nieto (Runner of the Year), Bekah Houston, Meral Henton and Paxton Plunkett, Dalton; and Melissa Ortiz, Southeast Whitfield. Honorable Mention: Natalie Williams and Shelby Wilson, Northwest Whitfield

On the boys team were:
Andrew Bruner (Runner of the Year) and Christian Pineda, Dalton; Josue Limas, Southeast Whitfield; Isaac Pacheco, North Murray; and Josh Stanley, Murray County. Honorable Mention: Fernando Morales, Dalton; and Jordan Jones, Northwest Whitfield
